Sunday lunch red…time to get toasty!
The Palazzo wines tend to be harvested earlier than many of their neighbours and so they are bright and fresh with soft plummy fruit. A pleasing juicy Sicilian red which balances its lightness with full flavour. Pairs well with grilled and roasted dishes, especially lamb, so a great choice for Sunday lunch!
Sicily is perfectly suited to the production of healthy ripe grapes due to the island’s geography and climate. The vineyard sites are situated at an altitude of 200-300m. This ensures cooler night time temperatures which preserve acidity in the grapes. Harvesting is done by a combination of machine and hand picking.
