Limited edition fine wines!

Posted by Ilona Roberts on

We are fortunate to have purchased a small parcel of fine wines, some in peak condition for drinking.

La Reserve Leoville Barton, St Julien 2010
£35.00 36 bottles

Deep garnet colour, with notes of baked blackcurrants, Black Forest cake and kirsch with nuances of menthol, dried herbs and star anise. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives a fair amount of chew with a racy line of freshness and just enough fruit to give a savoury finish. 2020-2032. 88/100. Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, March 2020.

Ch. Vieux Maillet, Pomerol 2010
£38.00 24 bottles

Inky hue with crimson highlights. A mix of dark fruits and a mineral tone on the nose. On the palate, fresh, elegant oak aromatics are still very evident. The finish delivers delicious aromas of liquorice and spices. Still needs to achieve greater expression. 2010 vintage. Gilbert & Gaillard.

And for drinking or keeping (till 2040!) the outstanding:

Ch. D'Angludet, Margaux 2020
£25.00 24 bottles

Brisk and precise on the nose of blackberry and bilberry fruit, touches of iodine and pressed flowers coming through with time; there’s wonderful focus and energy here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. A saline and marine-influenced Margaux, well balanced with a little grittiness toward the finish. Yet overall, this classically styled Angludet has commendable breeding and should give 20 years of drinking pleasure. 90-92/100 Neal Martin, Vinous.

All in original wood and cellared since purchase in ideal conditions.
Available in store only.
