This Rioja is all about the balance of cherry, redcurrant and brambles with the toasty richness of oak. Made from Tempranillo grapes and barrel aged for 12 months its oak finish is pleasing but not overwhelming.
Rioja is the smallest region in Spain but also one of the oldest wine regions in the world and home to Bodegas Ruiz de Vinaspre which was founded in 1910 by the grandfather of the current owner.
