Last of the summer wine

Posted by Ilona Roberts on

Beaujolais, Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Romy £9.79

When the sun decides to shine this Beaujolais captures the last essence of the summer. A round and juicy wine from old Gamay Noir vines, bursting with raspberry and strawberry fruit with a delicate touch of pepper. Light-bodied but with ample flavour and smooth tannins.

Best served very slightly chilled on those sunny days. Tastes good with cold meats, fish or salads.

Domaine Romy has been a firm supporter and member of the Terra Vitis farming approach for the last 10 years: “the pleasure of wine from healthy, living soil”. Their philosophy is to work in the most appropriate way, using sustainable or organic farming practices to preserve the environment.
