Since the Middle Ages, vines have been grown on the Plaine du Plan de Dieu in the heart of Southern Rhone. Back then crossing the plains was no easy feat as bandits freely roamed the land.
Today, the vineyards are no longer dangerous but working the stony clay soil is still tough work for Pascal Maillet who bought the domaine in 1993.
The domaine produces vibrant spicy wines, full of red fruit flavours and nuances of spice. With quality and style at such good prices, this are versatile food wines so pair them with your choice of roast meats or cheeses and enjoy all autumn long.
